Uso del celular al conducir (Don't use your phone while driving)

I took part in the "Proyecto Won" national video competition in Venezuela, which aimed to address various social issues and promote ideas to reduce violence in the country. For the competition, I created a short film titled "Uso del celular al conducir" (Don't use your phone while driving), focusing on the dangers of distracted driving caused by cell phone usage. The competition involved school groups from across Venezuela, and the judging panel consisted of Venezuelan artists, singers, and actors. Our short film won all three awards, including "Most views and likes on Youtube," "Best production," and "Most Original Idea."

Responsibilities:

Conceptualized and developed the idea for the short film, specifically addressing the issue of cell phone usage while driving.
- Created the storyboard and outline for the film's narrative and visual elements.
- Took on multiple roles, including video editor, director, main actor, videographer, writer, and producer.
- Directed the production process, overseeing all aspects of the video's creation.
- Coordinated a group of five students who collaborated on different aspects of the video, such as assisting with filming, production design, and post-production tasks.
- Shot footage as the videographer, ensuring the visuals effectively conveyed the message and engaged the audience.
- Acted as the main actor in the film, portraying a character who experiences the consequences of using a cell phone while driving.
- Wrote the script for the film, incorporating dialogue and scenes that highlighted the dangers and potential outcomes of distracted driving.
- Conducted the video editing process, carefully selecting and arranging the footage to create a compelling and impactful narrative.
- Ensured the final product adhered to competition guidelines and effectively conveyed the message of reducing violence and promoting safe driving habits.
